BIOGRAPHY

Mike Grisso is a Senior Vice President at Kilroy Realty Corporation (KRC), a developer and operator of high-quality commercial properties on the West Coast for more than 65 years.  Grisso has more than 20 years of real estate development experience and leads KRC’s planning and entitlement efforts in San Francisco and the Bay Area.  KRC’s recent development projects in San Francisco include The Exchange at Mission Bay, a 680,000-square-foot, Class A office project that was approved in February 2015; and The Flower Mart, a 2.5-million-square-foot, mixed-use development in the South of Market that was approved in 2020. The Flower Mart will include Class A office space and a new, 115,000-square-foot wholesale flower market in Potrero Hill.

Prior to joining KRC, Grisso was a Senior Project Manager at the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency (SFRA) and its successor, the Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure (OCII). At SFRA and OCII, he led the planning and implementation of the Transbay Redevelopment Project, received the 2004 Urban Design Award from the American Institute of Architects and the 2005 Outstanding Planning Award from the American Planning Association. Prior to joining SFRA, Grisso was a Director at CB Richard Ellis in San Francisco. Prior to attending Harvard University, Grisso worked as a social studies teacher at Thurgood Marshall Academy, a public school serving Grades 7-12 in Harlem in New York City.

Grisso lives in San Francisco, where he was born, with his family. He enjoys skiing and swimming, including swimming in San Francisco Bay, and has spent many seasons as a baseball coach for San Francisco Little League.
